Who is Yvette Ryan:

My name is Yvette Ryan, I have been a qualified Beauty & Holistic massage therapist since 2005. After qualifying  I went on to work in an award winning 5 star Hotel for 14 years. During this time I volunteered with a local cancer support group and I found this work to be very different yet also very fulfilling. After working in this area I saw the benefits of light touch therapies so in 2017 I decided to study Reflexology. In the years that followed, I have developed my skills and completed some amazing and rewarding courses such as Reflexology for Cancer Care, Reflexology for Special Needs and Facial Reflexology.

I have also discovered a love of Organic Products and Complementary therapies and I enjoy using and applying these to my various treatments.

With 17 years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge & expertise to my work in the vulnerable care sector where I am currently offering Reflexology and Massage in various care facilities, for vulnerable and elderly people throughout the community as well as providing therapies for MS south Kerry.

I also offer a wide range of holistic therapies to private clients from my treatment room in Killarney. Client care is important to me and I am passionate about bringing the benefits of Reflexology and holistic therapies to all of my clients. As a member of the National Register of Reflexology  Ireland  clients can be sure of a professional  service, with continuous  professional  development ,also the benefit of claiming  back some of the costs of Reflexology from health  insurance providers

How does it work and what happens during a session:

Whether you're visiting for a massage, facial, or reflexology, I begin every session with a thorough consultation to understand your unique needs and concerns. During this time, i will take the opportunity to discuss any specific preferences or areas of focus, ensuring that your treatment is tailored to your individual requirements. Once i have established your goals, I will guide you to the treatment bed, making sure you’re settled comfortably so you can fully relax and immerse yourself in the experience.

For reflexology, I will take the time to explain how the therapy works, what to expect during the session, and answer any questions you may have. It’s important that you feel informed and at ease throughout the process. If you are addressing a particular condition or concern. I will discuss a follow-up plan to ensure the best results. In some cases, a treatment plan may be recommended, such as one session per week for six weeks, followed by maintenance treatments to sustain progress and support long-term well-being. This personalized approach ensures that each treatment supports your journey towards optimal health and relaxation.

What will those sessions be useful for:

Reflexology is a versatile therapy that helps treat a variety of conditions, from stress and anxiety to pain reduction. By stimulating specific pressure points, it calms the nervous system, promotes relaxation, and can effectively manage sleep problems. Additionally, reflexology offers a safe, non-invasive treatment option for fertility support and during pregnancy, providing a natural way to balance the body and mind.

Reflexology and massage can be highly beneficial in cancer care, offering relief from symptoms and medication side effects. These therapies help reduce swelling, boost immunity, and lower pain levels. They also support the repair and healing of damaged tissue from surgery and radiotherapy, providing a holistic approach to recovery and well-being.

Indian head massage offers numerous benefits, including promoting hair growth and providing relief from headaches and migraines. It also helps ease tension in the upper back and shoulders, leaving you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Facial reflexology offers a range of benefits, including relief from bruxism and TMJ dysfunction, as well as helping with sinus issues and hay fever. It provides emotional support for grief and can aid in neurological conditions of the face, such as Bell's palsy, promoting healing and balance.

Sound therapy is a holistic healing technique that uses sound vibrations to promote physical and emotional well-being. By using instruments like singing bowls, gongs, or tuning forks, sound therapy helps to balance the body's energy, reduce stress, and improve mental clarity. It can enhance relaxation, support emotional healing, and even aid in pain reduction. The frequencies used in sound therapy are believed to resonate with different parts of the body, promoting healing, reducing tension, and restoring harmony.
