Who is Lisa Burgoyne:

Hi I’m Lisa, a nutritional therapist and busy mum to 2 (soon to be 3!) smallies. I have had a passion for nutrition and well-being for as long as I remember but I’ve always struggled with the mountain of information out there and never knew exactly what to eat to best fuel my body. While pregnant with my second child I worked with a nutritional therapist who advised me on the best foods and supplements to take while pregnant & postpartum. I was so impressed and relieved there was someone who could take the overwhelm and guesswork out of nutrition and save me hours of research. This inspired me to complete a diploma in Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy with The College of Naturopathic Medicine so I could not only help myself but help others cut through the masses of information available and feel their best. I don’t believe in complete restriction, I still enjoy a glass of red wine and love my chocolate! Life is about balance.

How does it work and what happens during a session:

Nutritional therapy is an evidence-based approach to maximizing health potential using personalized nutrition, lifestyle changes and supplementation where necessary. As a nutritional therapist I promote the benefits of wholesome, unprocessed foods as well as looking at the therapeutic effects of food for specific health conditions. Nutritional therapy looks to identify the root cause of health concerns rather than simply treating the symptoms.

Before working together I will send you a pre-consultation questionnaire to identify your health concerns as well as a 3-day food diary to be filled in and returned to me before we meet. I will ask you to provide any recent GP blood results for analysis. We will then meet online for our initial consultation lasting 90-120 minutes allowing you time to share what has been going on for you in a non-judgmental space. I will take a deep dive into your health history and look at each body system to identify additional symptoms. During the initial consultation we will talk through your current diet and lifestyle in detail. I then take a couple of days to draft a personalized protocol for you and we will continue to work on implementing small achievable steps week by week. I like to work with clients for a minimum of 12 weeks so you get the support and results you deserve.

What will those sessions be useful for:

What benefits can be expected from working with me?

·Clarity around nutrition, supplements and lifestyle changes for well-being.

·Reduced stress/anxiety and overwhelm.

·Increased energy levels and reduced fatigue.

·Improved sleep quality.

·Improved mood.

·Improvement in digestive issues such as: constipation/diarrhoea, bloating, acid reflux, malabsorption of nutrients.

·Regulation of hormonal imbalances such as irregular cycles, PMS, PCOS & perimenopause.

·Weight loss (I don’t specifically work with weight loss but it is often a side effect of the work we do together!)
